Carroll Pruett

PRUETT, Carroll Kelly 85, a resident of Montgomery, passed away on Saturday, January, 7, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Grady and Ida Mae Kelly. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Thad Harper Pruett; her son, Harper Pruett (Sharon) and her daughter, Kelly Troy (Robert). She was known and loved as “Mimi” by her eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Marie Davis (Andy), William Pruett, Carroll Anna Troy, Pruett Troy (Samantha), Zoey Troy, Allie Troy, Hayden Troy, Kailey Troy, Charlie Davis and Caroline Davis. Carroll was born in Prattville, Alabama on August 8, 1937. She attended Prattville High School and Auburn University. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and the Goodwill Auxiliary for many years. Carroll was a member of Whitfield United Methodist Church and later Frazer United Methodist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend to many. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life. She enjoyed Lake Martin and entertaining her friends and family there for many years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 10:00am. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 9:00am prior to the service.
