Catherine B. Gordon, 86, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 3, 2011. A recent resident of Montgomery, Alabama, she and her husband were formerly of Beltsville, Maryland. She was affectionately known as “Kitty” to family and friends. Kitty was born on June 13, 1924 to Cyrus and Frances Seaburn Phillips of Washington, D.C. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 49 years, Wimple E. “Bud” Gordon, and her brother, Cyrus J. Phillips. Mrs. Gordon is survived by her sister, Betty Kidwell, of Hyattsville, MD and many nieces and nephews. She retired from Bell Telephone Company in 1975. Kitty travelled extensively with her husband, Bud, as well as enjoyed spending time with extended family who will greatly miss her.
