Charles Leroy Grider

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon A Grider and Verna Grider, and his oldest brother C. Eugene (Gene) Grider. He is survived by his brother John R Grider (Francine), his sister-in-law Terry Grider, his nieces Kathryn Newsome, Emily Grider and Tammy Clark and his nephew Jason Grider.

Charlie, born in Nashville, Tennessee, as a young child moved with the family to Montgomery, Alabama and lived there his entire life, working as an accountant for the Alabama Highway Department until retirement. Charlie also was involved in commercial radio both as a DJ and an engineer as well as a faithful member of the Cornerstone Christian Church.

A Family and Friends Visitation for Charlie will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a Celebration of Life Chapel Service at 2:00 PM. Services will conclude with a burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Jay Thompson officiating.
