

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Ralph Jordan and Lillian Bond Jordan. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Linda Mains Jordan, his son, Michael Wayne Jordan, and daughter, Michele Jordan Kyle. He was known as Pawpaw to his grandchildren, Hunter Davis Kyle and Jordan Lynn Kyle. He was loved by his faithful dog Teddy. "Bud”, as he was known to all his friends and family, was born on October 11, 1940, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the 7th child of 12 in his family (6 boys) and (6 girls) only 3 sisters remain, Linda Osburn, Sheila Weeks, and Patricia Cook.
He graduated from Northwest High School in Rush Township Ohio in 1960. He served in the US Air Force from 1962 to 1988 and retired honorably at the rank of CMSgt. He later earned a bachelor’s degree and a MBA from Troy State University at Montgomery.
He worked at Gunter Air Force Base in Civil Service from 1991 to 2007 reaching the rank of GM14.
Bud was a youth sports coach and referee in baseball, basketball, volleyball and football. He loved golf and played with friends most weekends. His favorite teams
were the Atlanta Braves and the Auburn Tigers and he followed them in person and on TV until his dying days.
Bud was a loving, caring, patient husband, father, and grandfather. His beautiful blue eyes and sly smile will be missed. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Thursday July 11, 2024, at 10:30 am with a visitation one hour prior at 9:30 am. Burial will follow at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo at 2:00 pm.
