Mr. Shaffer will truly be missed by so many because he was loved by so many.  He and his wife, Coriene, were some of the first people I (Kristie) met when I first came to University Church of Christ and it was always such a blessing to get to see them every Sunday.  He was such a kind,  wonderful, and happy person and I will miss stopping by to shake his hand and see his smiling face on Sunday mornings.  Our condolences go out to you, Mrs. Shaffer. When I heard that Uncle Chuck had passed away all I could think was that heaven had a new angel.  His presence here on earth will me missed, but I am sure that he is filling the heavens with his wonderful laugh. Your family definitely made an impact on my life.  I am grateful for the memories. Coriene, Karla, and family:  In November 1972 my wife, Ruth, was in her 3rd trimester of pregnancy with our first child.  We were unable to return to Alabama for Thanksgiving.  The Sheafer's kind invitation to share their Thanksgiving meal with us is still remembered and cherished with great fondness.  Please accept my heartfelt best wishes for peace and comfort in adjusting to Chuck's loss from your lives.

Sending our condolences to Aunt Coriene and cousins Karla and Terry.  I have many fond memories of happy times with uncle Chuck from summer visits as a kid to adult visits when you came to Washington.  May you all be comforted knowing our merciful and wonderful God we serve.
