Charlie Raphael Payne age 70, a resident of Prattville, AL passed away peacefully at home on July 16, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents John Perry and Ruth Payne. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Yvonne; two children Perry (Lee) Payne and Connie (Jimmy) Edwards; 4 grandchildren Peyton Payne, Preston Payne, Georgia Edwards, and Wynn Edwards; siblings Don (Brenda) Payne and Nell(Wesley)Monfee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Charlie was an active mason and shriner at Alacazar Shrine Center where he served as potentate in 2001. His passion was fishing and hunting. He enjoyed retirement by working at Bass Pro Shops.
A memorial service will be held on July 19th 2:00 pm at Leak Memory Chapel with Rev. Allen Newton officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial services.
Pallbearers will be Peyton Payne, Preston Payne, Danny Lockwood, John Payne, Bo Rasmussen, and Dewey Kendrick.
