Butler, Christine Stewart, age 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Butler. Mrs. Butler is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Kathy Butler, Patrick & Donna Butler; five grandchildren, Lauren Butler, Jenny Butler, Katharine Butler Burton, Anna Butler and Sydney Butler; one great-grandson, Riley English. Mrs. Butler was an active member of University Church of Christ. She was a member of the first class of Alabama Christian College which is now known as Faulkner University. Funeral services will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. with Minister Donnie Hilliard officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to University Church of Christ.
