Mrs. Clara Lavonia Ledbetter, 96, of Tallassee, AL, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020. She was born on October 15, 1924. She is survived by her sons, James Calvin Ledbetter (Kathy) and Paul Eric Ledbetter (Lissa); daughter-in-law, Linda Ledbetter; grandchildren, Brian Ledbetter (Jill), Toby Ledbetter (Vivian), Christopher Ledbetter, Matthew Ledbetter (Janey), Randall Ledbetter (Leslie) and Carmen Ledbetter; nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Oscar Ledbetter, Jr.; her parents, Henry Belton and Ethel Wyers Whitson; two brothers, Deward Whitson and Cephas Whitson; a son, Arthur Peyton Ledbetter; and a grandson, Joshua Paul Ledbetter. A private family graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at 1 p.m. in Greenwood-Serenity Gardens with Minister Scotty Harris, of GracePointe Church, officiating.
