Claudie Belle Pugh

Pugh, Claudie Belle Curtis, 94, a resident of Montgomery died Saturday, July 16, 2011. She was a member of Pine Level United Methodist Church (South). She became postmistress in 1952 at the Pine Level Post Office and served 24 years until retiring due to health problems. Mrs. Pugh was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Lou Curtis; her husband of 55 years, Wyman Hudson Pugh; son, Robert Hudson Pugh, Sr., a grandson, great granddaughter, and a great great grandson. She is survived by a son, Joe Curtis Pugh (Judy) of Hope Hull, Al; daughter, Jo Ann Harrell (K.C.) of Montgomery, Al; daughter-in-law, Mary Lois Pugh of Montgomery, Al; eight grandchildren, James Lewis Dawkins, Jr. (Georgia), Joseph Michael Dawkins (Chieko), Jeffery Allan Dawkins, Julie Ann Mason (Paul), John Louden Dawkins (Alisha), Robert Hudson Pugh, Jr. (Cretia), Samantha Casey (Todd) and Angelique Pugh, thirteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and four step grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robert Pugh, Paul Mason, Joe Dawkins, Jeff Dawkins, John Dawkins, Mercer Hughes, Mark Harrell, Tyler Harrell and Hudson Pugh. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Pine Level United Methodist Church (South) with burial to follow at Hill Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Leak Memory Chapel and also one hour to the services at the church.
