Clevy T. Gibson

Funeral services will be Thursday August 6, 2015 at 11:00 am from Leak-Memory with Rev. Luke Finkelstein officiating. Burial will follow in Canty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday August 6, 2015 from 10:00 am until time of service at Leak-Memory Chapel.

Mr. Gibson is survived by his loving wife, Carol Gray Gibson; son, Clevy Thomas ‘FROG’ Gibson, Jr. (Susan); step children, Wade Wilmeth (Jessica), and Melissa Harville; grandchildren, Cole and Lela Gibson, Shea and Brady Harville, Noah and Landon Wilmeth; siblings, Henry “Bill” Gibson (Bobbie); Jack Gibson (Pat), Sue Sweat (Howard), Mary Lou Overstreet (John); sister-n-law, Annette Gibson; numerous nieces and nephews (some held a special place in his heart) and many special friends.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Will and Louise Gibson; siblings, Will Glen Gibson (Peggy), Buddy Gibson and James “Red” Gibson.

He was retired form City of Montgomery as the Montgomery Zoo Maintenance Superintendent.

Pallbearers include William “Shorty” Gibson, John “Bubba” Overstreet, David “Spec” Overstreet, Billy Gibson and Conrad Missildine, Jason Gibson. Honorary Pallbearers include Cole Gibson, Brady Harville, Lawrence Vickers, Wayne Miles, and David Hines.

A special thanks to the many family, friends, and churches for cards, food, visits but most of all for all the prayers sent up on his behave. Also thanks to all the staff at Montgomery Cancer Center. Words can’t express how much your kindness has meant to the family.
