Connie Sue Kwater

KWATER, Connie Sue Vann 77, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Good Friday, April 18, 2025.

Connie was born in Montgomery, Alabama on December 30, 1947, to Eugene C Vann Jr and Sallie Mae Vann. She graduated from Robert E Lee High School and attended Auburn University. She worked at Alfa Realty for 25 years and retired in 2013.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Sallie and Eugene, her brother, Larry Vann, and her husband Larry M. Kwater. She is survived by her daughter, Tracey Draughon DeRamus, her son-in-law Stephen, and their children Devan and Dalton. She also leaves behind her faithful canine companion Buddy.

Connie was a huge Auburn fan, a wonderful cook and baker, and her greatest happiness came from taking care of her family. She was affectionately known as “Mimi” to her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and we will never forget the love she brought to our lives. Her passing has left a void that will not be filled.
