Ms. Connie Elizabeth Owens, 75, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 22, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents: Ellie Gilmore Warbington "Shine" and Rose Marie McKenzie "Muh"; two sisters: Theresa L. Turner "Lannie" and Rose L. Fussell; and a brother: John W. Warbington. She is survived by her daughter: Debbie J. Hollingsworth; a son: Rocky M. Burleson (Lee); two grandsons: James F. Hollingsworth and Bryan L. Burleson; two granddaughters: Sabrina E. Hollingsworth (Jeremy D. Mills II) and Erin L. Burleson and two great-grandsons: Maverick C. Hollingsworth and Jeremy D. Mills III "Trace". Ms. Owens was a Baptist by faith and was a beautician for over 40 years. Along with owning her own salon, she also owned and operated a ceramic shop and taught arts and crafts. In her later years, she opened a small florist business at the State Farmer's Market where she also started a program called "Ready Set Grow" which she taught children about agriculture through growing pumpkins from seeds which she provided. She is most remembered for her deep love and devotion to God, Family and Children with a zest for life and laughter. Her legacy is the abundance of love and positive influences she left behind for all who knew her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 1:00PM in the chapel of White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home located at 909 Lincoln Rd. Montgomery, AL. 36109 with a public visitation one hour to service at 12:00 Noon. Pastor Ron Davis will be officiating. Burial will follow the Celebration of Life Service in Greenwood Cemetery.
