David Flet Gorrie

Gorrie, David F., was 101 years of age when he passed on Jan. 16, 2015. He is survived by his son, Robert D. Gorrie, Sr. (Mary), Cumming Ga.; sister, Helen Tidball, Annandale, Va.; grandchildren, Robert D. Gorrie Jr. (Sherri), Acworth Ga., Christopher M. Gorrie Sr ,Acworth Ga., Amanda Crawford,Danville,Va.; Great Grandchildren, Christopher M Gorrie Jr (Brittany), Fitzgerald , Ga., Austin Gorrie, Albany, Ga., Leeland Gorrie, Acworth, Ga., Jackson Gorrie, Acworth, Ga., Georgia Gorrie, Acworth,Ga., Briona Crawford, Danville, Va.; Great-Great Grand Child, Rilee Gorrie, Fitzgerald, Ga.; Nieces/Nephews, Paul Coppage, Kathy Guest, Jim Tidwell, Lawrence Tidball, Marion Francis Brown, Marion Gorrie.

He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Montgomery Lodge # 11 of F@A Masons, Elizabeth Armstrong Chapter # 10, American Legion Post # 210, VFW Post 96 , Exchange Club of East Montgomery, White Shrine of Jerusalem, and the 301 Ballroom Dance Club. David was a veteran of World War II with the 386 Bomb Group.

Funeral services will be at Leak memory Chapel on Tuesday, Jan. 20 with burial following in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled Monday, Jan. 19, 5:00 – 7:00pm. On line Condolences may be made at www.LEAK-MC.com
