Deborah Harris Rodgers, 72, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, after a courageous battle with dementia. Though the disease slowly stole her memories, it never diminished the love she gave so freely or the impact she made on countless lives.
Born on October 31, 1953, Deborah lived a life defined by compassion, faith, and service to others. She dedicated almost 40 years to caring for the tiniest and most vulnerable patients as a neonatal intensive care nurse. Nursing was more than a profession—it was her calling. Her gentle spirit, skilled hands, and comforting presence brought hope to countless families during some of life's most difficult moments.
Just before her passing, Deborah celebrated her 52nd wedding anniversary with the love of her life, Tony Rodgers. Their marriage was a beautiful example of unwavering love, commitment, and partnership, and together they built a family that was the center of Deborah's world.
Above all, Deborah was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. She is survived by her beloved husband, Tony Rodgers; her son, Jeremy (Chelsea) Rodgers; her daughter, Amanda (Tim) Studdard; and her cherished grandchildren, Parker, Kinley, Jack, Averie, Madden, Aspen, and Griffin, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.
She is also survived by her sisters, Carol (Wes) Chancey and Brenda Langley, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Joan Harris; her brother, Bob Harris; and her in-laws, Julia and Tom Gamble.
Although her family mourns her loss, they find comfort in knowing that Deborah is finally at peace. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched as a nurse, in the family she loved beyond measure, and in the example, she set through a lifetime of kindness, strength, and selfless service.
