Deborah was preceded in death by her husband Lee Smith.
She is survived by; son Michael D. (Lindsay) Sanders; and daughter Chelsea R. Smith; father Billy D. Johnson and mother Jeanette S. Johnson; sister Janice K. Johnson; grandchild Gideon L. Sanders and fiance' Gary Suggs. A graduate of Sidney Lanier High School ('75), Deborah went on to earn her Bachelor's in Business Administration from Huntingdon College as an adult. While she loved to read and take in long, luxurious cruises, those passions were second to her love for pets.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be scheduled when social restrictions are lifted.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Deborah's memory may be made to Montgomery Humane Society.
