Deloris Ann Elmore, 71, was born on November 13, 1954, in Birmingham, Alabama, and passed away on September 8, 2026. A woman of steady determination, Deloris met life with a quiet strength—working diligently, adapting to change, and enduring with resilience through every season.
Deloris lived most of her adult life in California, where her strong work ethic carried her through a changing marketplace as a cell phone sales representative for AT&T as the market emerged. Even in retirement, her commitment to purposeful work continued as she worked as a banker at Windcreek Casino—approaching each role with reliability and perseverance.
Beyond her professional life, Deloris found meaning and enjoyment in the arts. She enjoyed collecting art and touring museums, drawn to the beauty, history, and expression found in each new piece and exhibit.
Deloris is survived by her daughters, Otisha McDowell, Lori McKellar, and Dominque E. Rigby; her grandchildren, Gabrielle, Jaiden, Eric, and Ethan; her brothers, David Lee, Ward Jenkins, and Donald Jenkins; and her sister, Sharon Frazier.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 pm on September 19, 2026, at St. James Baptist Church, 1213 Lenora St., Montgomery, AL 36104.
