

Bowles, Demarias Ann Collier 83, was born in Prichard, Alabama and later moved to Montgomery. She grew up going to Highland Gardens Baptist Church. She was a longtime resident (60 years) of Prattville where she died peacefully on December 29, 2024 after a long illness. She is preceded in death by her parents Johnnie S Collier Sr. and Ruby Mason Collier, her youngest brother Marvin F. Collier and a great grandson Kaidyn Mullins. She is survived by her two daughters, Debra (Todd, Stephens and Dana Mullins. Five grandchildren Brandy (Chris) Runge, Cory (Ashley) Stephens, Austin (Autumn) Mullins, Chandler (Adrienne) Mullins and Noah (Kaelin) Mullins. Eight great grandchildren Cooper, EmmaClaire, Abigail, Masyn, Rowyn, Oakley and Mercer who all loved her dearly and affectionately called her "Momma Dee". She is also survived by her siblings Johnnie S. (Pam) Collier Jr, Betty Kirby, Deanna (Ralph) Rucker, Linda (Jimmy) Yarbrough and MANY nieces and nephews.
Demarias (Dee) worked with Public Safety, State of Alabama for 42 years. There she met many, many friends who she dearly loved (and missed) while working in different divisions. She loved cooking, traveling with friends and family and bus trips with her Public Safety friends over the years. She was a tiny lady with the most beautiful blue eyes. She was a hardworking, kind woman with a keen sense of humor that was loved by so many. She always gave more than she had and never asked for help herself. Her family meant the world to her. Visitation will take place at Leak Memory Funeral Home on January 5, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Pastor John Schmidt officiating the service and burial, which will immediately follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Cancer Society can be made.
Cory Stephens, Austin Mullins, Chandler Mullins, Noah Mullins, Chris Runge & Cody Hardaway will be the pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cooper Mullins & Christopher Hardaway.
