Donahue Tillery Smith, age 95, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022. Donahue was born February 13, 1927 in Greenville, Alabama. She was a member of Panama St Church of Christ for many years. She enjoyed sewing knitting quilting and playing her guitar. One of her favorite hobbies was gardening and enjoying what she raised. She had a great love of southern home cooking for fried chicken and lemon pie.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years RV Smith; parents John Chester Tillery and Leah Waller Tillery ; her brother Glenn Tillery and a sister Doris Tillery Culver.
She is survived by her daughter Anita (Vince) Howard; her daughter Brenda (Ron ) Yarbrough; her daughter Inarae (Tim Payne) Edmondson; a son Roy Smith; and a son Edrick ( Kimberly) Smith; and sister Margaret Benjamin Little. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life graveside service for Donahue will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery.
