Donald Shelton Tesh, age 83, passed away in Prattville, Alabama on Sunday July 6, 2014. He was born April 6, 1931 in North Carolina as one of three children. He served in the United States Army for twenty-one years as a 1st Sergeant until he later retired. After his time served in the Army he worked for the State of Alabama for another twenty years. Don was an active member of Denton Road United Methodist Church. He was a loving husband to his wife, Elaine Tesh as well as a loving father to his children and grandchildren. His surviving children include: Geni Cade, Elizabeth Sumphere, and Grace Nichols. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded by his first wife, Gracie Tesh, and daughter, Cheryl Weaver. A memorial service will be held Saturday July 12, 2014 at 11:30 at Denton Road United Methodist Church with a visitation from 10:30 to 11:30. Brother John Baxter will be officiating the service.
