Donna you are missed and loved. I cryed all week when I was shocked by your homegoing, but rejoicing knowing you were home with the Father. I did not know you personally, except for watching you on Friends and Neighbors.  I am friends with Roy & Sherry Tatum and enjoyed your hosting and signing every time you where aired on the program.  Your faith shown  through your words, in your acts of kindness and compassion, and especially in your gift of song. Blessings and prayers to the Johnson family for sharing you with so many people and continuous prayers always in my heart for strength renewed in joy to each of your love ones. Donna's most beautiful smile, her anointed singing/lyricist/minstrel, and her effervescent personality are forever in our hearts and will leave a legacy for you and the world to emulate. Leon, Diamond, Pastor Ritchie, and the entire Johnson and Ritchie families:  We are lifting you in prayer as you celebrate the purpose-filled life of such a wonderful gift.  35 years ago, my family was blessed to cross paths with such a sweet, loving, and caring Donna.  She was "famous" in my 15-year-old eyes:  using her gifts to bring God glory.  My mother and Donna shared the same birthday, and she faithfully stayed in contact throughout the years. At the end of August, I came across a bible Donna had given to Mom on 6/29/80. The pages were worn and some were even missing, but the living word remained true.  I had planned to send Donna a few of the highlighted scriptures to encourage her in battle and was saddened that I had missed the opportunity.  But glory be to God she is experiencing the Word first hand!  Jeremiah 17:14  Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved:  for thou art my praise.  She is basking in His Presence and nothing can compare!  We are praying that the Holy Spirit will comfort and strengthen each of you and that you will be at peace as you grieve such an enormous loss.

I am still in shock! Donna and I sang together when we were teenagers at Freedom Life Church as well as attended school at Lanier. She was one of the sweetest, and caring individuals I've ever met. I remember when she got married to Leon and also the fun we had at her baby shower for Diamond. My how time flies! I remember her laughter and that smile that would light up any room. My deepest sympathy!

My deepest condolences to the Ritchie-Johnson families. Donna was my classmate at Sidney Lanier High School and the news of her death really took me aback. She had just announced she had stage four breast cancer and her spirit seemed to be up and she was so hopeful, as were so many of us. But God needed another angel, He has surely gained one with Donna. Please accept my sympathy and I will keep the entire family lifted in prayer.
