Burson, Dorothy W., passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at her home. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Leak Memory Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Herbert Isaac Burson, Jr.; brothers, Arthur Harold Williams, Earl Howard Williams and Joseph Richard Williams; nephews, Alan Williams and Doug McKelvy. Mrs. Burson is survived by her daughter, Claire Burson DiLaura (Mike); son, Herbert “Ike” Burson III; grandson, Daniel Burson Poage (Stephanie); sisters-in-law, Frances Williams and June Williams and numerous nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
