Dorothy Earline Cox

COX, Dorothy Earline Bowden, 79, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Leak Memory Chapel with Rev. Lee Wright officiating. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday June 30, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. She is survived by her children, Robert L. (Lori) Cox, Laura C. “Beth” (Lester) Brett, Kathy E. (Allen) Stephens and Edward E. “Eddie” (Donna) Cox; 15 grandchildren, Stephanie S. (Kevin) Neyerlin, Dacey S. (Zane) Reese, Sunny S. (Bill) Sexton, Adam (Diane) Brett, Trent (Weston) Cox, Chase (Amelia) Cox, Matthew Stephens, Michael(Heather) Stephens, Harrison (Alicia) Stephens, Katy Brett (Otto Collins), Chad Dees, Elijah Cox, Noah Cox and Madalyn Cox; eight great grandchildren, Sidonia Neyerlin, Tabitha Neyerlin, Zander Reese, Harper Jane Reese, Benjamin Sexton, Hayden Stephens, Avery Brett and Nathan Stephens. She was the last surviving child of 12 born to Curtis N. Bowden and Laura Thornton Bowden; she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Allen Edward Stephens II. A member of Heritage Baptist Church, she was a beautiful and gracious lady that will be greatly missed.
