

Dorothy Fleming, 90, a native of Omaha, NE passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday, August 20, 2011, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Father Patrick Driscoll officiating and burial in the St. Margaret’s section of Oakwood Cemetery. Dorothy and her husband, Woodrow Fleming, moved to Montgomery in 1997 to live with their daughter Connie and son-in-law Charlie Colvin. Dorothy has been active in the community since her arrival. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, gave generously of her time and talent to her church and to the Our Lady Queen of Mercy School, did her aerobics at the Baptist South Cardiac Rehab Facility, and was a season ticket holder at the Davis Theater, but she is best known for her “Grandma’s Brownies.” Dorothy is survived by her two brothers, Ross and Tony Cavaleri; a son and daughter-in-law, Dusty Fleming and Pamela Buffett of Los Angeles, CA; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Charlie Colvin of Montgomery; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, August 19, 5:00 – 7:00 PM with Rosary at 7:00 PM at Leak-Memory Chapel. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to City of St. Jude or Hospice of Montgomery. Arrangements under the direction of Leak Memory Chapel, Montgomery, AL.
