Dorothy Louise Simms

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, David Henderson Simms; her parents, Joe C. Stephens and Margaret Renfroe Stephens; a sister and brother; and her grandparents, Lester and Susie Renfroe and Lamar and Annie Laura Stephenson.

Dorothy and David were married Aug. 14, 2957 and lived in Montgomery most of their married life with a brief period living in Madisonville, Kentucky and New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dorothy enjoyed a beautiful yard and plants to match. She loved her fur babies Heddy Mae, Lulu, and Dutchase.

A special thank you from the family to Baptist South, Encompass Rehab, and Gentiva Hospice Care for their help and compassion shown to Dorothy during her illness. Also a special thank you to Dr. Brauci and his wife, Monica, for their years of care.

A Graveside Committal Service will be held at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109, US, on April 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
