Doyle LeGrande Munson Jr.

Doyle L. Munson, Jr., passed away February 5, 2017. He was born April 3, 1927, in Park City, Utah, and grew up in Eli, Nevada. He is a World War II Veteran where he served in the Navy. His experience in the Navy paved the way for his future in Electrical Engineering, a profession he loved. He worked for many years a Sherlock, Smith, & Adams. He was a great husband, father, Papa, uncle, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Munson; father, Doyle L. Munson, Sr.; brothers, Perry Steadman, Bert Munson, & Gary Munson; & sisters, Dorothy DeRoy & Maxine Callahan. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Willa Fay Munson; daughter, Cheryl Meek (Bryan); grandchildren, Alan Meek (Stephanie), Austin Meek (Lauren), Emily Hawkins (John),; great-grandchildren, Paxton, Fynley, & Harlow Meek, William & John Hawkins, Jr.; sister, Elaine Tegeler (Paul); and a host of nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, February 10, 2017, at 12:30 PM, at Leak Memory Chapel, followed by his Funeral Service at 2 PM, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alan Meek, Austin Meek, Tom Tegeler, Brian McCord, Randy Whitt, & Danny LeRoy, while Paxton & Fynley Meek will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
