Edith C. Garrette, (93) of Titus, Alabama went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2018 at Elmore Community Hospital. Mrs. Garrette is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Armstrong (Jerry); son, Joseph Garrette (Virginia); daughter, Deborah Maddox; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Edith was an amazing woman who loved the Lord and her family with all of her heart. She was an avid gardener who loved being outside tending to her flowers, feeding her birds, being with her family and spending time visiting the mountains of Tennessee to admire the many works of God's majestic beauty. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and the cornerstone of the family. A true blessing from God to everyone who knew her. Her faith kept her strong until the Lord called her home, but the legacy she left us will never be forgotten.

Proverbs 31:10-31 describes the virtuous woman and I am confident that this describes Granny. She provided for her family in ways that most will never know. She prayed for them, she provided a place of refuge in times of need, she provided council and she loved them with all her heart. We have lost a very special person here on earth, but heaven has gained another angel. I know where she is and that brings me great joy, but my heart is saddened not to have her here with us. Her memory and legacy will live on through her extended family. I love you Granny! Thank you for loving me.
