
Elizabeth Gladys Watson Wimberly, 87, of Montgomery died Sunday, April 10, 2011, peacefully in the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Joan Wimberly in Birmingham, where she has resided for the past year. She was a loving, godly wife and mother. She was a member of Dalraida Baptist Church for more than 50 years and served faithfully as a Sunday School teacher, choir member and Church Secretary for more than 30 years. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Thomas E. Wimberly and her identical twin sister, Emma Louise Watson Cameron, her parents, two brothers and two other sisters. She is survived by sons Dr. Larry Wimberly (Joan), Birmingham, Garry Wimberly, Montgomery, grandchildren, Dr. Lee Wimberly (Missi), Leah Wimberly Willoughby (Lee), Amy Wimberly Kennedy (Nathan), all of Birmingham, Ashley Wimberly and Alyssa Wimberly Driggers (Cory), Dothan, and 14 Great Grandchildren, one brother, Hoover (Bud) Watson, Atlanta and Ann Collister (Bill) Montgomery. Chapel service, Tuesday April 12 at 2:30 P.M. with visitation one hour prior to service at Leak Memory. Graveside to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
