I can remember when I was a little kid that I would always cry when I had to leave her house, because it was so much fun to be with her. one thing she would always tell me is that everything happens for a reason. she also taught me about god and Jesus. I will always remember my grandmother.

We loved Emily......George and she were born a week apart and shared memories from Cloverdale years forward. We loved coming home to Montgomery from the mountains and seeing her in Harold’s store, and missed her much when she was gone. Emily did in deed let her light shine, shine, shine! We send love and prayers to all of the family.

I never saw a time when Mrs. Bowdoin didn’t have a smile on her face and kind words to share! She was such an encourager.... I am so sorry for your loss, but I know Jesus was super excited to welcome her home!

So very sorry for your loss. Emily was one of the sweetest, most fun, people. Her wit and adoring personality would light up a room. Heaven is certainly graced by her beautiful presence. God bless her and her sweet family.

When I think of my friend Emily I am reminded that she was voted Wittiest in the yearbook of the Lanier 57 class. But she was much more than that. There were many outstanding people in that class but to me Emily was forever the face of the group. And, I would go so far to say, probably the heart and soul. It was always a pleasure to be around her. Her passing leaves me with a great feeling of emptiness.

The most fun teacher there ever was. Third grade will always be the highlight of my memories as a student. Thank you and God Bless Mrs. Bowdoin.

A sweet fun and loyal friend for many years. Heaven is sweeter now with the arrival of Emily Bowdoin. She will be missed by a large number of people. To know her- was to love her.

Emily was a delight to everyone who was blessed to have known her. She will be missed by her family most of all, but the countless others whose life she touched will be thankful to to have been her relative, friend, student, caretaker or any other connection. She was unique and just pure joy. Aloha, my longtime friend. Florence
