

Ercyl is preceded in death by her parents, John M. Crider and Sophia Hudson Crider; sister, Evelyn Crider Waters; and two infant siblings.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years, Charles Lea Vidrine; son, Edwin Charles Vidrine (Dana); daughter, Susie Vidrine Baker (Buzz); sisters, Essie Hollingsworth (Marlin) and Geraldine Sharpton (Dalton); brother, Norman A Crider (Judy); sister in law, Emma Jane Vidrine; grandson, Chad Baker (Cherin); grandaughter, Selina Baker; great
grandaughter, Kaylee Baker; step great grandchildren Rachael Busby and Shawn Busby; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, step great great grandchildren, along with many caring and loyal friends.
Ercyl grew up in Cullman County, Alabama and graduated from West Point High School. June 27, 1944 she joined the US Navy and was stationed at the Naval Auxiliary Air Station in Kingsville, Texas, where she met and married Charles Lea on January 26, 1945. A resident of Montgomery, AL for over 60 years, she was a charter member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church and an active member of the choir. She worked for many years for the State of Alabama.
Visitation will be Monday, July 18, 2016, from 5-7 PM, at Montgomery's Leak Memory Chapel. The Celebration of Her Life will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at 11 AM, at Eastern Hills Baptist Church with Rick Marshall, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
