

Eudell was born on February 9, 1921 on a peanut and cotton farm in Houston County, Alabama to Joseph Lafayette and Claudia Mae Windsor. She accepted Christ as her Savior as a young child and was baptized outdoors near her church.
She married Ivey Lee Coburn in 1943, and lived most of her life in Montgomery, Alabama where she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Capitol Heights Baptist Church for over sixty years. She began employment in 1960 at Sears & Roebuck where she worked in the credit and cashier department. She also worked for and retired from the State of Alabama, Department of Vital Statistics. As an Air Force wife, she was stationed with her husband in Wiesbaden, West Germany. She loved to travel and she returned to Germany and toured South Korea. She also traveled in many states while visiting her family, going to Shrine conventions with her husband and enjoying church trips.
In Noblesville, she was a member of White River Christian Church. She contributed to the Heaven’s Handiwork sewing group and was a member of the Young at Heart Sunday School class. She lived at Five Star Residences for over ten years and participated in many activities including her favorite, bingo. Eudell loved to meet new people and was a friend to many. She enjoyed reading and also studying her Bible. She loved to cook and especially enjoyed sharing her pecan pralines and her fried cornbread with others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Lafayette and Claudia Mae Windsor; her husband, Ivey Lee Coburn; and her son, Byron Lee Coburn. She was also preceded in death by all twelve of her siblings which included her seven brothers, Clarence, Benton, Howard, Radford, Dewey, Ray and Gerald Windsor and her five sisters, Stella Kirkland, Agnes Walker, Lois Key, Dorothy Lane Kirkland and Martha Clark. She is survived by her daughter Claudette (Tom); her daughter-in-law, Brenda Coburn; her grandchildren, Megan Roberts and Derek (Danielle) Coburn, and her great grandchildren, Jack Coburn and Gracie Coburn. She is also survived by her step grandchildren, Joe McGough and Michael McGough; step great grandchildren, Danzig McGough and Zachary McGough; her sisters-in-law, Imogene Windsor and Pat Windsor; and many special nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 which would be her 100th Birthday. A private family visitation will be held before the service at 1:00 p.m. Facebook live stream is available through Leak Memory Chapel Face Book page at 2:00 p.m. CST/3:00 EST.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Capitol Heights Baptist Church, 2514 Madison Avenue, Montgomery, AL 36107. Also, to share her love of reading, the gift of a book given in her memory to any child is appreciated.
