

Eugene Carter Camp

Eugene “Gene” Carter Camp of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Gene was a graduate of Auburn University at Montgomery, where he earned a degree in Art. With an artist’s eye and an actor’s soul, he brought color, character, and life into every space he entered. His charisma and expressive presence carried him from the canvas to the screen, appearing in over 80 projects worldwide including Big Fish, Under Siege, and Dumb & Dumber. His stories remain timeless, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by mother, Frances Prickett Camp, father, John Harold Camp, Sr. and sister, Mary Frances Camp. He is survived by his daughter Kay Annette Camp; grandson Micah D Thomas; three great grandkids - Violet Raine, Eva and another on the way; sister, Dana Jo; brothers, Sam, and John; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens on February 1, 2026, starting at 2:00 pm.
