

Fannie Jones Holland, 85 years of age of Montgomery, AL died April 6, 2010 at the Country Cottage Assisted Living Facility in Montgomery, where she had lived for the past five years. Mrs. Holland was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Holland; her parents, Jessie and Ethel Smith Jones; brother, Willard Jones; and sister Mary Nell Jones Hall. She is survived by her daughters Charlotte Pipkin (Donnie), Cochran, GA, Pam Clapp (Lee), Montgomery, AL and Gina Holland (Mike), Maryville, TN; five grandchildren Shane Sweatt (Hope), Tuscaloosa, AL, Kelli Pipkin Green (Wade) and Cal Pipkin (Jessica) Cochran, GA, Amanda Holland Lawson (Matt) Knoxville, TN and Lance Corporal Alan Holland (Camp Lejuene, NC); six great grandchildren, Callie Grace, Tate, John Pearson, and Wilson Sweatt, Tuscaloosa, AL, Tal Green and Cade Pipkin, Cochran, GA; sister, Helen Halstead, Hawkinsville, GA. Visitation will be Thursday, April 8 at Leak-Memory Memorial Chapel from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. The burial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 12 at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL. Prior to moving to Montgomery, Mrs. Holland had lived in Pensacola, FL where she was a member of the AGAPE Sunday School Class and Olive Baptist Church. She had a great capacity in caring for others and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Frazer Memorial United Methodist Television ministry, 6000 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL 36117 or to one‘s favorite charity.
