

She was born on June 7, 1926 in Forrest Home, AL to the late Devit and Fleta McBride Till.
As a lifelong Methodist she served her church by doing what she loved, rocking babies in the nursery. She also served as treasurer of The United Methodist Women. She was known for her giving heart. She was always ready and willing to help or bake her famous pound cake.
Florence is preceded in death by her husband; Olen Martin, her eldest daughter; Linda Martin, her sisters; Anne Lynn Black and Louise Hicks, and her brothers; John Till and Dr. William Till.
She is survived by her sister; Rilla Gardner of Forrest Home, AL, daughters; Connie Barton of Montgomery, AL and Janice (Wade) Lindsey of Tallassee, AL., granddaughter; Bobbie Barton of Auburn, AL, grandson; Paul Lindsey, great grandson; Holton Lindsey both of Tallassee, AL, many nieces and nephews she loved as her own, and her cohort in crime Roberta Waldrup.
Pallbearers to include Ronnie Gardner, Tommy Hicks, Bill Till, Tom Renckly, Eddie Caldwell, and Art Alexander. Honorary Pallbearers to include The Pathfinder Class
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 2:00pm, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, with visitation one hour prior.
