Born in 1927, Frances was a life-long member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed a large community of friends. She was a sought-after bridge player, a lover of cats and the performing arts, and a dedicated Auburn football fan.
She is survived by her two daughters, Susan Fitzgerald and Kathy Gibian; son-in-law Richard Gibian; grandchildren, Kate Rowan, and Emily, Olivia, and James Gibian. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Baldwin Fitzgerald and her brother, John A. Register.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church on Saturday, September 2 at 3:00 p.m.
