Frances Lorraine McLamore Loard went home to be with her Lord on July 28, 2021. Frances was the only child born to William Henry McLamore and Agnes Adele Creighton McLamore on April 10, 1928 in Grove Hill, Alabama.
At the age of 13, she lost her beloved mother. Frances was then raised by her dear aunt and namesake, Frances Creighton Tompkins and her uncle, Frank Tompkins.
She later moved to Montgomery, where she met and married John Wesley Loard on November 15, 1951. They were loving parents to Lorraine Loard Haas and John Wesley Loard, Jr.
John and Frances were active members of Trinity Presbyterian Church. She was especially fond of her years as a helper in the four year old Sunday School class. She and John were also among the founding families of Trinity Presbyterian School.
Frances was predeceased by her parents and husband. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Haas (Eric), her son, Wes Loard (Jennifer); and her grandchildren, Meghan McLamore Hetfield, Taylor Elisabeth Haas, John Wesley III and Camilla Malone Loard.
The family wishes to thank the loving nurses and staff at John Knox Manor for their care and kindness during Frances' last few months.
A memorial service will be on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11:00 at Trinity Presbyterian Church with a visitation one hour prior in Trinity Hall. A private graveside will be held following the service at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trinity Presbyterian School, 1700 E. Trinity Blvd., Montgomery, AL 36106 or to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1728 South Hull St., Montgomery, AL, 36104.
