Frances Marietta Raub

Raub, F. Marietta Toward-, age 70 years and 11 months, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 15, 2011 after an extended illness. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Col. Gene L. Raub; a daughter, Kara D. Raub. She was born the daughter of Frances and John Toward on October 14, 1940 in McDonald, Penn. All her siblings survive her, Bill, Ed, Jim & Betty Jean Toward and Bonnie Tournay, all of McDonald, Penn. Bonnie and Marietta were care givers half of each year for the past 10 years for Betty Jean as she was born with Down syndrome. Marietta and Gene met in Japan while she was a Flight Attendant and he was a USAF Captain Aviator, both flying and traveling much of the world. They were married in Penn., Nov. 8, 1969. Their daughter Kara Dawn Raub was born June 15, 1973 in North Carolina and resides in Alabama. Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Followed by a graveside service in Greenwood Cemetery, Garden of Gethsemane. Marietta was a soul winner, a great cook, enjoyed arts and crafts, and was an unbelievable self taught yoderler and guitar player.
