Frank Harris

He met the love of his life Peggy Sue in 1958, they were married on January 2nd, 1959, and spent 61 wonderful years together. He was a dedicated and loving husband who took care of Peggy in sickness and health.

Frank and Peggy raised 4 children Sue, Darrell, Richie and Cindy. They were blessed with 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and many, many cousins.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents James and Opal, wife Peggy, daughter Sue and his 5 siblings.

He is survived in life by His children Darrell (Nish) Harris, Richie (Jodi) Harris, and Cindy Bolton; as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Frank was a mechanic for most of his life and known for having the ability to fix any car he touched. He owned a mechanic shop in Highland Gardens for over 20 years and worked for Capital Chevrolet until he retired.

He was active in the Highland Gardens Men's Club, who provided help, support, and aid for the community.

He participated in many softball and baseball teams, as a player, coach and the loudest fan for his children and grandchildren.

Frank was a loving and selfless man, who would go above and beyond to take care of those in need. That legacy will live on in the generations he helped raise.

A Celebration of Life Graveside will be held at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, on September 9, 2026, at 10:00 am, with processional to form at Leak Memory Chapel around 9:45 am.

Pallbearers will be Alex Harris, Hunter Harris, Harris Bolton, Luke Harris, Ty Bolton, Parker-Lee Harris, Eric “Duck” O’Donnell, John Daniel Harris.
