

Franklin Delano Brooks, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama for 43 years, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the age of 77. He was born in Escambia County June 2, 1935. He honorably served as a Private First Class in the Armed Forces for the National Guard (1954) and United States Army (1958). He was preceded in death by his parents, Bama and Warren Brooks Sr., his brother James “Bully” Brooks and his sisters Belle Whitehead and Maxine Godwin all of Atmore, Alabama. Survivors include beloved wife of 52 years, Elouise Hastings Brooks, daughter Tara (Chip) Carter of Montgomery, AL, son Kevin (Donna) Brooks of Valley Grande, AL, daughter Teena (Barry) Loyal of Chattanooga, TN, brother Warren (Jerry) Brooks Jr. of Montgomery, AL, sister Ann (Joe) Brown of Gulf Breeze, FL and four grandchildren Robey Brooks, Amanda Loyal, Austin Carter and Carson Loyal. Other than his family, Frank’s two loves were Alabama football and fishing. Visitation is Thursday, November 8th at Leak Memory Chapel from 5:00-7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9th at Leak Memory Chapel at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
