Frederick James Young, 51, of Hope Hull, AL; passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Freddie Retired after 27 Years from the ALDOT. He took extraordinary pride as a volunteer fireman with the Burkville Fire Dept. and working as an EMT with Care Ambulance. Even with all those responsibilities, he still found time to umpire High School and Dixie Youth League Baseball. He loved and lived life to the fullest and lived by his motto "Worry less and fish more"; always armed with a giving heart, open arms, and a joke that could put a smile on anyone's face. Freddie will be dearly missed by everyone that knew him. He is survived by his wife, Sharron French Young; sons, Chris Gunter, and Preston L. Young; daughter, Anmarie Young Bruner (Adam); Grandson, Logan Bruner; sisters Michelle Young Lamkin (Russell) and Stephanie Irvine (Earl); father, Earl S. Young (Brenda); uncle and aunt, Wayne and Jean Bradley; step-brother, Mark Grier (JoAnn); step-sister, Amanda Hawkins (Gary). He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy C Young; Grandparents, Frederick and Early Young, Loraine Jeffcoat, and James O. Crapps, Jr. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leak Memory Chapel. We grew up just a street a part. We lived on Crouson St. (The Lindseys) Freddie and Michelle lived on Yarborough St. All the neighborhood kids went to school together and pretty much played in the neighborhood together. We all went to Yarborough Street Baptist was always something fun going on. Whenever Freddie was around he was always picking and playing around always a smile on his face. Im so glad we have those kind of childhood memories and that he and his family were a part. Bless you, and have fun reuniting with your mom and all your other family members. Love and prayers to the family....?Lisa (Lindsey) Talley and my whole family........

If I've learned anything down through the years, it's that nothing beautiful in this world is ever really lost. Those we cherish will always live on in memory.
