

Born in Bermuda St. George’s Island to William Lewis, Harrod, Sr. and Rubye Sullivan D’Olimpio. Gayle was raised in Ramer, Alabama where she graduated from Montgomery County high school in 1977. Following high school she began her career at ALDOT April 1978 then transferred to Bridge Bureau in 1992 devoting over 40 years of service as a civil engineer retiring April 2020.
Gayle is preceded in death by her parents, William Louis Harrod Sr., Rubye Sullivan D’Olimpio; brother, Russell, Charles D’Olimpio; nephew, William Lewis Harrod III; husband, Donnie Ray Holley; and stepbrother, JD Bender. Survivors include children, Sacha Rae Holley, Derek Wayne Holley, and Chelbi Keith Hegler; step daughter, Terran Whithers (Hunter); sisters Donna Harrod, Janet Abdulla (Isam), and Robin Frost (Greg); brothers, William Lewis Harrod II, Rick, D’Olympio (Amy), Randy, D’Olimpio; step siblings, Bo Bender, Gail Zuidhoek, and Jimmy Ellison, grandchildren, Dawson Whittington, Gage Knighton, Presley Raye, Knighton, Alexis Holley, Destiny Holley, Jaylah Poore, Madilyn Holley, Ryder Varden, Rayder Goodwin, Alana Goodwin, and Finley Goodwin; and great grandchildren Leilani Knighton,Jade Alexander.
Funeral services will be provided by Leak memory Chapel 945 Lincoln Rd Montgomery Al 36109 with visitation Wednesday, March 26 starting at 10 AM followed by chapel services starting at 11 AM with ordained minister Jeff Green officiating. Graveside services will follow at 1 PM in the Ramer cemetery 5444 Al-94 Ramer, Al. 36069 with John Harrod officiating.
