Gene was an avid artist painting landscapes of old buildings barns and scenery from memory, with no proper training he just picked it up at the age of 50. He entered some amatuer art shows but mostly enjoyed giving his art to friends and family. he was a giving person, didn't have much but would give the shirt off his back. he insisted the grandkids finish high school and go further. He loved sports and everyone knew where Gene would be on Football saturdays or during the World Series. He also loved National Hockey League and college softball Mostly he LOVED watching the grandkids play football, baseball, run track and even an attempt at soccer. His biggest love was baseball, never missed too many games and you could always hear him ribbing the umpires or giving instructions from the stand. Once the grandkids got done with baseball it was time for the great grands to start, and as long as he could he would be at their games. Gene enjoyed music of all kinds and quite often you could hear music booming out of his room.

He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
