George Truett Moore, age 81, of Montgomery, Alabama went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 15, 2025. George was born to his parents Jack Moore (1989) and Sara Moore (Williams) (1967) on Wednesday, May 17, 1944, in Alexander City, AL. He graduated from Benjamin Russell High School in 1962 and then attended college at Southern Union College and Auburn University of Montgomery. George worked for the State of Alabama as an account clerk for 39 years and retired from the Montgomery County Health Department in 2010. During this time, George married his wife, Evita "Tina" Moore Golden, in 1980. George was a member of the congregation at Capital Heights Baptist Church and was an active member until his passing. He enjoyed sending cards and letters to both friends and family.
George Moore is proceeded in death by his wife Evita (2015) and his brother Jack (1997). He is survived by his two daughters (Elizabeth Moore and Amy Snell), three grandchildren (Amanda Wesson, Jordan Bowden, and Victoria Cullom), and six great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
