Gloria Edwards Gardner passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2012. Visitation will be on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at White Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 2:30 PM with Rev. Gary Burton officiating. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Helen Edwards and her husband, Jimmy Lee Gardner. She is survived by her daughter, Helen Valdakis (Jeremy) and son, Daniel Gardner; sisters, Mary Monies, Carmen Fluker and Lynn Duncan; brothers, Marvin Edwards, Jr., Richard Edwards; five grandchildren, Cole and Garrett Gardner, Brittany, Kyle, and Kaitlin Johnston; and several nieces and nephews. Gloria worked with Kindercare and Hooper Academy for a number of years.
