I had the joy of being one of Gwen's caregivers and she was such a sweet lady. She will be missed dearly. My thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family.

I worked with Gwen for a short while during the 1960's for a short while and we kept in touch until the 90's when I moved to Birmingham, AL and we lost contact. But I never forgot her wonderful personality and kindnesses she showed me.

Ed - this is a lovely write-up of your mom's life. I have so many memories of her from our high school days - your house was really my home away from home, and your mom was always so kind and welcoming to me. In retrospect I see how difficult it must have been for her to raise two sons alone. She did a splendid job! My mother will be at the service in Montgomery tomorrow.
