Haurice Elijah Conway

Haurice Elijah Conway, 97, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 27, 2025. Haurice loved the Lord and tried to live his life as a Christian example for others. He enjoyed fellowship with his church family at North Tuscaloosa Church of Christ.

He was born in Fort Deposit, Alabama on May 07, 1927, to Colvin and Lena Conway. He and his twin brother completed the number of ten children born to this union. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1945-1946 and 1950-1957. He married the love of his life, Mary Alice Barnes, on June 24, 1956. They enjoyed sixty-six wonderful years together prior to her death on August 12, 2022.

Haurice is survived by three sons; William Conway (Cindy), Wally Conway (Connie), and Tim Conway (Beverly), eight grandchildren; Amanda Shields (Matt), Lauren Easter (Josh), Emillie Dennis (Stephen), Danielle Hailey (Ben), Caine Conway (Hollie), Jordan Armstrong (Tanner), Claire Collier (James) and Neal Young (Audrey) ,and sixteen precious great grandchildren. He is also loved by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
