Helen Frances Azar Boman

Helen Frances Azar Boman died peacefully Thursday, January 12, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Zaki N. and Mary Simon Azar; her husband , Edward R Boman, Jr. and their daughter Janet Ann Boman Boddie. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Stevens, Nancy McCown and Dianne Harper (Tripp) and one son Edward R. Boman, III; six grandchildren;: Mitzy Taylor (Billy); Christi Corsino (Dale); Edward Roy “Bo” Boman IV; Kalan Elizabeth Boddie; Mary Frances Harper and Paul Harper IV; and six great grandchildren: Chandler Taylor, Kinlee Grace Taylor, Will Corsino, Zach Corsino, Eleanor Claire Corsino, Dominic Corsino, and. Helen came from a large family of eleven siblings all of which were born and raised in Montgomery, AL. She attended school at St Mary of Loretto followed by nursing school in Gadsden, Alabama. She dedicated her life to taking care of others. She worked at Jackson Hospital, St. Margarets Hospital, Engleside Nursing Home, Lister Hill Medical Clinic, and retired from the State of Alabama Department of Public Health. She was an avid Alabama football fan and waited for one last championship before she took her final trip ‘Up the Road’. A Rosary will be said at 10 am Saturday, January 14, 2012 at St. Bede Catholic Church with a mass immediately following. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
