Higginbotham, Malisa Helen, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Mrs. Higginbotham, a Houston County native, worked at various bookkeeping jobs in Alabama and Georgia prior to becoming a full time homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband Dell Higginbotham of 38 years; 5 Sisters and 4 Brothers, step-son, Randall L.; a step-grandson, Randall Adam. Surviving family includes; daughter, Carlene Strahan (Julian son-in-law); step-great-grandson, Zachary Higginbotham; a step-daughter-in-law, Kay Higginbotham; as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Capitol Heights Baptist Church at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, February 4, 2012 with Rev. Warren Culver officitaing. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made in her memory to the Capitol Heights Baptist Church and Vista Care Hospice.
