Henry Ford Poe

Poe, Henry Ford, 90, of Montgomery, AL, passed away, Saturday, February 8, 2014. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 1:00 PM from Leak-Memory Chapel with Rev. Warren Culver officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 PM prior to the funeral. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ed and Beulah Bell Rawlinson Poe. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Syble Wilson Poe; son, Lynn Ford Poe (Alice); three grandchildren, Lindsey Poe, Dallas Tipton, and Robyn Tipton, great-grandson, Caden Tipton and nephew, Roger Calvin Wilson (Virginia) and great niece, Sara Jewel Wilson. Mr. Poe served as a Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corp and received the U. S. Army Air Force Air Medal. He was retired from the State of Alabama, and was a member of the Andrew Jackson Lodge #173 and the Montgomery Valley Scottish Rite as well as a member of the Capitol Heights Baptist Church. Memorial contributions maybe made to the Capitol Heights Baptist Church.
