Homer Clinton Allen Jr, born December 29, 1940, in Montgomery, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his home on August 15, 2026, surrounded by the people he loved most-his wife and children.
Clint was the devoted husband of his best friend and wife of 49 years, Carol Sue Allen.
Together, they built a life and a family rooted deeply in love, faith, and devotion to one another. Their 49 years of marriage were filled with the joys and challenges of raising a large family, watching that family grow, and creating a legacy that will continue for generations.
Clint was a loving father to five children: Lauren, Julie, Samantha, Terry, and Sarah. He was the proud grandfather of thirteen grandchildren: Justin, Cliff, Taylor, Jamie, Tory, Matthew, Ivey, Nathaniel, Isabel, Charlie, Warner, Zoe, and Sophia; and the beloved great-grandfather of six: Tatum, Brooklyn, Sophia, Olivia, Ashton, and Finland.
He was also a brother to five siblings: Billy, Tommy, Stan, Roy, and Lisa.
Clint lived a life of service to both his family and his country. He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer after an extraordinary 42 years of service in the Army National Guard and proudly served his country during the first Gulf War. His dedication, strength, and commitment were qualities that extended far beyond his military career and into the way he loved and cared for his family.
But above all else, Clint had a deep and unwavering love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His faith was not simply something he spoke about—it was part of the foundation of his life and the legacy he leaves behind. Because of that faith, his family grieves with hope, knowing that this goodbye is not forever.
Clint leaves behind far more than names on a family tree. He leaves 49 years of marriage, five children who knew the love of their father, generations of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a lifetime of service, countless memories, and a family forever changed because he was theirs.
He was deeply loved. He will be deeply missed. And because of the faith he held so dearly, his family finds comfort in knowing that on August 15, Clint closed his eyes at home surrounded by those he loved and opened them in the presence of Jesus.
Until we see you again.
