My sweet father n law. I am so bless to have had you in my life. You always treated me as one of your own. I remember our shoney lunch dates and dairy queen outings. When my own father passed away you stepped up and became my second dad. You had such a loving and kind soul. I thank you dad for my husband your son. It was a honor taken care and being with you in your last days here in earth. I know in my heart I have another guardian angel. I love you dad.

Hugh, you and Billy were and still are my heroes. When I was a little boy and was into everything, you and Billy would hide me from mama so I didn't get a whipping. I remember mama would yell and open every closet door, but never could find me. I would constantly follow you and Billy around and you NEVER made me feel I was in the way. You see even though I was 5 and 6 I always thought I was one of the big boys and you always made me feel like I was a brother and I belonged with you. Without that love and affection you gave me it would have been impossible for me to have so MANY wonderful memories of you.
Hugh, without question you are the BEST and GREATEST basketball player to ever come out of Polk County. You scored 42 points in a basketball game and that is still a record that will NEVER be broken.
I am crying as I write this, but I know you are with JESUS and your family, and you would never come back here. I hope JESUS will tell you how much I love you and miss hearing your voice. You always had the sweetest loving voice.
Hugh, you have a WONDERFUL family who love you so much. Sylvia and you raised wonderful children who have grown up to be LEADERS.
Hugh, I will see you in HEAVEN and YOU WILL HAVE A JESUS FILLED DAY.
